Framingham, MA, February 25, 2010 -- Man Noise Productions, a specialty sound production and on-line distribution company, today announced that 'Sizzle', the latest addition to the 'Off-White Noise' Collection, will be available on its website beginning February 26.

Many people experience problems relating to stress, inability to relax, difficulty sleeping, or the adverse effects of random environmental noise on their ability to maintain concentration during work and recreation. Many products are available to address these problems, including various kinds of sound recordings. ‘White noise’ and ‘white sound’ are terms used to identify recordings that consist of actual white noise (a toneless hiss) or nature sounds, such as rain or ocean waves. Many recordings of nature sounds also contain added white noise, and some include a background of new-age music. Many people, especially men, find white noise recordings to be less than satisfactory.

Man Noise Productions was formed to provide an alternative to these white noise recordings. Man Noise recordings replace white noise and nature sounds with man-made sounds that men love to hear. Previously released recordings in the Off-White Noise Collection capture the sounds of motor vehicles cruising the open road and splashing through a rainstorm.

“Sizzle, the latest entry in this collection, captures the sound of steak sizzling on the grill, a universally recognized sound that calls to mind pleasant images of food and fellowship,” stated John Mahon, Man Noise Product Development Engineer. “It is intended as an alternative to pure white noise, which does not usually produce such pleasant associations.”

Like the previous Off-White Noise CDs, Sizzle is a unique and original soundscape, with nearly 78 minutes of cd-quality stereo sound, and no looping or repetition. Unlike the typical white noise CD, Off-White Noise CDs are not a single large track, but rather multiple tracks that play seamlessly. Any of the tracks can be selected as the starting point, minimizing the possibility that repeated listening could lead to subconscious memorization and anticipation of the sound patterns in the recording.
